Update April 19

It's a gorgeous day here in Fort Myers ... we've really lucked out with the weather lately. Dry (not humid) in the mid 80s during the days and lower 60s at night. Perfect for sipping coffee in the lanai in the morning, and for taking walks in the evening around sunset. Things are winding down here for me; I'll be back on the road to Janesville, WI, in a about a week. Still, some fun things to report, as Dawn and I continue to squeeze the last drops of fun out my time here. I can report that we had a good time and three good meals out of Dawn's food box that arrived from "Hello Fresh" on April 9. Dawn did all the prep and cooking, so it was nice to have three nights off from preparing dinner. Our surprise favorite was the zucchini crusted chicken, served with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and green beans. Didn't realize you could use zucchini as a "crust." You just have to shred it and use a towel to squeeze out as much moisture as you can. Coat ...

I am writing this update from the Lanai, where I am enjoying sunny skies and a delicious breeze. Actually, we have had a fabulous stretch of weather here ... sunny and in the low 80s and dry for the last 4-5 days. Many of the other companies have access to small stretches of land, and you often see other airboats during your ride. In fact, a couple of collision...

The living area is very comfy and inviting. We've been to the swimming pool, and it is divine. We still have a few boxes left to upack, and we're setting up the kitchen the way we want it, but basically we're all set. The unit has so far been very quiet despite the fact we have units above and below us, and to the right and to the left. Below is a composite picture of some of the scenes from our new apartment: We pretty much spent all this past week getting ready for the move, and the preparation paid off in making things go smoothly. Following the sale of the sofa, the Harmony Thrift Shop came with a trailer and picked up everything else we didn't want to take, including the kitchen table and four chairs, lanai table and two chairs, table lamp, and entertainment cabinet. The movers c...
